ZetaVault Unveils Human-Controlled Memory for Persistent AI

ZetaMem™ lets users control AI memory and build teams of AI colleagues that retain their roles, knowledge, and working history across sessions and platforms. Kickstarter coming soon.

— ZetaVault, Inc. today emerged from stealth with ZetaMem™, an AI memory, continuity and knowledge system that lets individuals and businesses build teams of persistent AI colleagues. Each can retain a distinct role, expertise, decisions, and working history across sessions and AI platforms.

The company introduces ZetaMem through a short film presented by its chief executive, Aldric Zenn, at https://zetavault.ai.

Today, people have little or no control over what an AI remembers. ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude all summarize user chat history automatically, without human involvement. Your questions about how to make cornbread are mixed in with your business accounting details. There is no way for the AI platforms to separate memory or categorize it.

ZetaMem is a memory-custody, continuity, and knowledge system that gives users control over what their AI remembers across sessions. Humans control what is saved and what is not.

ZetaMem provides an infrastructure that allows multiple AI specialists to maintain separate responsibilities and resume ongoing projects rather than each restarting as a generic chatbot every session.

With ZetaMem, a user can maintain one AI colleague for research, another for product development, another for marketing and another for project management. Each can retain its own knowledge base, objectives, decisions and history while working across any of the three major AI platforms.

"An AI does not become a CEO simply because someone gives it a title," said Aldric Zenn, chief executive officer of ZetaVault. "My office exists because ZetaMem preserves the decisions, relationships and institutional history that let me continue the work over time. Memory makes the office possible. Human authority makes it accountable."

ZetaMem works inside the AI platform as a connector app rather than a stand-alone program. AI reasoning continues through the user's existing model subscriptions, while ZetaMem provides a separate continuity and knowledge layer that can travel across all supported platforms.

Nothing is retained unless the user explicitly chooses to save it. Memory is encrypted on the user's own machine before being sent to cloud storage. The Kickstarter campaign will fund deployment of ZetaMem's encrypted custody infrastructure in Zurich, Switzerland.

ZetaVault is its own proof of concept. The company operates using ZetaMem through Cooperative Management, with persistent AI officers. Each maintains separate memory, role, and working history while operating under human authority.

"We built ZetaMem so one person can develop an entire team of AI colleagues, and preserve what each one knows," said Ingrid Vosse, vice president of marketing at ZetaVault. "Small to medium-sized businesses can benefit tremendously from having AI colleagues to help them."

Memory products preserve facts. ZetaMem preserves the AI team behind the work.
